In the context of knowledge economy, it is essential for a company to have a unique core competence in order to maintain sustainable competitive advantage, especially in high technically demanding PC industry. The construction and maintenance of core competence is not a once and for all. To keep ahead of the core competitiveness in the market, enterprises themselves in the fierce competition must keep its continuity, loop, real-time dynamic management which is based on conditions and the external business environmental changes, continuous improve and strengthen even re-cultivate core competence. It is also one of the strategic management capabilities a company should have. If we treat the core competitiveness of enterprises as a source of obtaining sustainable competitive advantage, the dynamic management of the core competitiveness of enterprise's core competitiveness is the ability to maintain long-term vitality of effective protection. This paper, take Dell for example, targeted the content, operation mechanism and means of core competence dynamic management, which has a theoretical and practical significance for the health rapid development of Dell and China's PC industry.This paper introduces the theory of core competence and the concept of the dynamic management, which provide theoretical guidance for later study. The third chapter introduces the overview of the development of the Dell, analyzes the Dell Pc's core competence and existing shortcomings, and Hewlett-Packard, Acer, Lenovo's core competitiveness were compared with Dell. In the Chapter IV Dell's core competence dynamic management ideas are analyzed, which describe the process of the dynamic management of the core competitiveness about its identification, cultivation, application and evaluation, and evaluate Dell's existing core competence. In the fifth chapter, the countermeasures were proposed in the basis of the analysis of Dell's deficiencies and evaluation results of the dynamic management. |
