Research On The Urban-rural In Come Gap In China

With the process of modernization and the promotion of the market economy, the Chinese society has gained significant development, both urban and rural residents' income are showing more substantial growth, but the income gap between urban and rural residents has not been reduced, and the trend is gradually expanding, the problem has attracted more and more attention. At the same time, urban-rural income gap problem is related to the scope of social justice, since the reform and opening-up, the justice problem is increasingly becoming the focus of attention. How to achieve social justice from the system is becoming the government and relevant department's focus of research. This essay is written in this background, by analyzing the institutional reason of the income gap between urban and rural residents, to explore measures to narrow the income gap between urban and rural residents, which has practical significance, for achieving sustainable and healthy and stable development of China's economy, and improving people's living standards and quality of life.This article is divided into five parts:The first part, explains the background of the issues, introduce and evaluate the domestic and foreign research on this subject, and propose the method and idea of research on this basis.The second part, explain the theory of urban-rural income gap and the related theory of institution justice, China's urban-rural income gap has been the problem there, scholars have made a lot of research and analysis in respect of this. In this part, the article mainly explains the theory of Marxism fairness distribution and the significance of the theory in the problem of urban-rural income gap, and discuss the related issues of the institution justice, thus establishing the theoretical framework of this article.The third part, analyze the reality of urban-rural income gap problem from four aspects which include the average income level, the speed of income increase, the consumption level, the savings level between urban and rural residents, give an overview of status of the expanding urban-rural income gap.The fourth part, view the issue of urban-rural income from the perspective of the system on the basis of the third section, reveal that the system of urban biased under the distribution pattern of binary system is the main cause of widening of the income gap between urban and rural residents. The system of urban biased is embodied in many fields, in this part, the article mainly discusses three aspects:resource allocation, urban-rural exchange and re-allocation. At the same time, the article also explains the cause of the formation of the system of urban biased.The fifth part, explore system countermeasures to narrow the income gap between urban and rural residents on the basis of planning development in the urban and rural areas as a whole. The article mainly divides into two aspects:firstly, take some institutional arrangements to balance urban and rural area; secondly, improve appeal mechanism of the interests of farmers.The main characteristics and innovation of this article lie in:take the theory of Marxism fairness distribution as a guide, begin with the idea of sharing the outcome of reform and development, apply the related theory of institution justice to analyze urban-rural income gap problem, reveal that the system of urban biased under the distribution pattern of binary system is the main cause of widening of the income gap between urban and rural residents, and systematically propose some system countermeasures to narrow the income gap between urban and rural residents.
