Since the 1990s, China has promoted the market-oriented reform process vigorously, and according the World Trade Organization, in November 2006, when our country's financial system have exhausted the protection period, our financial system have to open-up comprehensively to the world. After that, China's financial reform realized a unity of financial liberalization and integration. But in view of the world's largest developing country, China's economic development level is still low, the financial body is less competitive, and the financial system is still fragile.After the year of 2007, with more and more foreign banks influx to our country, these banks not only brought our local banks advanced management methods, but also great pressure. Especially for the development of intermediary business, with foreign banking centers established, they expected to use their advantage in wealth management to attract high quality customer, which is very scarce in China. And personal financial services have become the focus of domestic and foreign commercial banks to compete. With China's economic restructuring, local commercial banks also made some innovation in the business and system construction. For example, they have established their own brand and financial centers, through providing diversity services. The intermediate business income share has expanded effectively. However, due to policy, legal, technology, personnel and other aspects of bottleneck constraints, Our local commercial banks showed the characteristics are:the service is not diverse and homogeneous between different banks is very serious. The launch of wealth management business is too dependent on traditional agency fund insurance and securities. In addition, the risk control ability is not enough on financing agency and asset management. Because of that, our local banks can't service their customers well in increasing their wealth.Although the level of personal financial management business is generally not high, but in the long run, as our national policy support and public demand asked, personal wealth management services is very potential in the future. And even become the key factor for local banks to compete against others.This assay spread from basic concepts and theoretical support of commercial banks'personal financial services. Considered our country's macroeconomic environment and micro-willingness, I try to analyze the necessity and urgency for commercial banks to develop this business. Combined with the successful experience of foreign commercial banks, I give some analysis and interpretations on the problems when this business is conducted locally. And finally I put forward my own specific recommendations and express the prospect of the commercial banks' personal financial services in China.
