Project Cost Management Study And Application Of One Mobilephone Development

Based on Author's working background and the experience of one practical mobile phone development, starting from the view of project cost management, this article summarizes the objectives, targets and methods of cost management, then bring out the basic theory of cost management of mobile phone development, according to the fundamental process of cost management:The Cost prediction-Cost Planning-Cost Control-Cost Audit-Cost Analysis-cost assessment. On the other hand, the current detail flow of mobile phone development could be reduced to:Idea & Bidding-Project Initiation-Initial Planning-Product Planning-Development and Implementation-Testing, and the seven stages including post-processing. Follow the above words, the article applies the theory of fundamental cost management to this practical mobile phone development case, to instruct the detail cost management working in mobile phone development.Further more, in this study, it analyzes the industrial problems and the root cause based on the study of cost management of mobile phone development, then clarifies the detail improvement activities combined with former theory:build up the project management oriented organization and responsibility commitment, build up the project cost management system in development process. Finally, reference to the practical case study, it proved to be working for save cost by applying such project cost management in mobile phone development, hope it is useful for future similar projects.
