Risk of Logistics route is the component of logistics transportation risk, and is affected by the nature of road and the difference of route. Researches of logistics route risk may contribute to logistics literature and offer data support to routing decision, which awards the researches both theoretical and practical meaning. The paper explored the Logistics Route Risk in five steps。Firstly, the definition of logistics route risk was studied on the basis of the conception of risk. It was interpreted as the difference between transportation goals of different route and negative effect with uncertainty caused by changes of risk factors.Secondly, a review of the risk evaluation and selection of logistics routes was pursued. It was found that there are a few literatures about the risk of general merchandise transportation but a plenty of the risk of hazardous material transportation.Thirdly, a detailed analysis of risk factors of far-distance-general-merchandise transportation between cities was conducted. A risk index system was built and the risk assessment of road section was finished on the basis of the consideration on data collection and precision, with the model developed in the paper, AHP and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation.Fourthly, the researches of routing were summarized. The shortest path selection method was picked to solve the problem of the paper。And the method was achieved by genetic algorithm with matlab. Finally, the realization of risk evaluation and selection of logistics routes was discussed. It is the best way to combine the evaluation and selection with GPS monitoring system. The paper achieved detailed risk index system and method for general merchandise transportation, and contributed another way to routing. Further research is needed for problems remaining unsolved.
