Industrial Engineering is the study of how to reduce costs, improve qualities & productivities and benefit without increasing investments.This paper aims to study the new energy of solar water heaters. There are few of papers that apply the Industrial Engineering theory to the manufacture of solar water heaters. This paper collects the data of Plant N of Company M, studies in-depth the production of Plant N. Aiming at the existing problems in the Production, it proposes new improvements concerned with time, distance, personnel, cost, quality and management, and ultimately gets economic and indirect benefits. The study includes three aspects, that is work study, production line balancing and layout optimization, uses the "5W1H" Questions Technology, ECRS Principle, Stopwatch Time Study, Work Sampling and other technologies, analyzes with Flow Process Chart, Man-machine Chart, Joint Action Chart, Cause And Effect Diagrams and other tools to get more reasonable and time-saving practice methods, to smooth the production line to some extent, and to optimize the equipment layout. Finally, it performances direct benefits by comparing of data.By the initial exploration of the factory production system, the paper achieves good expected results. It helps production managers master IE technology, do further research, form the good consciousness of continuous improvement, attention to quality, equipment maintenance. It can be a reference for other companies in the same industry. |
