The Study Of Use Efficiency Of Cultivated Land And Its Influencing Factor In Lanzhou City

The importance of arable land is self-evident to humans, the land as the most valuable natural resources is the material base of human survival and development, but also it is the factors of production can not be replaced in agricultural production. Arable land is directly related to national food security, economic and social sustainable development, play an important position. The study of land use efficiency of farmers and its influencing is conducive to efficient use of land resources, coordinated sustainable development of agricultural and economy, but also is of great significance to guarantee food security and consolidate the national economy of foundation.This study based on the survey data of the 153 farmers in Lanzhou City, use the method of data envelopment analysis to analyze the efficiency of household land use, through the analysis of the effectiveness of land inputs factor, adjust the input of factors of production to achieve effective use of land. Based on the analysis of land use efficiency, using the model of multiple linear regression, the land use efficiency factors were analyzed. The main conclusions are:(1)The technical efficiency of land use is 0.25, the optimal investment is 25%of the actual input, in the case of the output unchanged, if the actual investment by 75%, farmers can achieve an efficiency land use.(2) Land use efficiency of Lanzhou City in all regions there is significant difference, the highest technical efficiency value is 0.313 of plain area; followed by the hilly area, land use efficiency is 0.185;the lowest land use efficiency value is mountain, land use efficiency is only 0.155.(3) The analysis of validity of the production inputs factors, land redundancy level reached 45.58%, far exceeding the best investment; labor redundancy into the average degree of 31.46%, labor surplus serious; seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, the degree of redundancy respectively reached 55.88%,50.08%,47.09%and 47.81%,far higher than the optimal investment level. The farmers lack of agricultural knowledge and technology.(4) Through the multiple linear regression analysis, showed that the costs of irrigation, total family income, the planting income share of the total household income, state subsidies, agricultural staff guidance, whether to adopt new technologies, the level of education of farmers, these are major factors in land use efficiency.Based on the conclusions of study, put forward the policy recommendations to improve Farmer's land use efficiency in Lanzhou City, including the following five aspects:Developing the characteristics of agriculture, increasing investment and promote the application of agricultural science and technology, to carry out technical training of farmers, improving of agricultural infrastructure, increasing the support of the national preferential agricultural policies and guidance efforts.
