Tourism industry cluster as a region tourism development strategy has gradually become the tourism industry trends. Worldwide development of tourism industry has proved that cluster can produce external economy, reduce transaction costs and make a good social order to improve those relationships, so the cluster can promote the competitiveness of the regional tourism industry and the regional economic development. Yunnan has the superior advantages of resources and geographical location, but owing to the backward economy and education development and so on, the advantage of the tourism industry cluster has not been executed.This theory is based on the value chain to consider the tourism industry cluster, through the value chain analysis model for the tourism industry cluster, one can express competitive advantages and the reasons, and make research of Yunnan tourism industry. The major frame of this paper is roughly as follows:ChapterⅠ:The introduction of this research background and the significance. The analysis and summary on the research of domestic and foreign's. Pointing out the research technical and technical way of this theory.ChapterⅡ:The literature summary. Firstly, introducing the related tourism knowledge, pointing out the characteristics of travel and tourism industry. Secondly, expatiating the related theory of the tourism industry value chain, pointing out the concept of the tourism industry value chain, the features constitute and the characteristic. The last, discussing related theory of the tourism industry cluster, pointing out the concept, development conditions, model, type of cluster and constitute elements of the tourism industry cluster.ChapterⅢ: The analysis based on the value chain of the tourism industry cluster. Firstly, discussing the relationship of tourism industry value chain and tourism industry cluster. Secondly, pointing out the value chain system of tourism industry cluster and construct the model of tourism industry value chain and analysis the value chain of the tourism industry cluster, so that can index the disadvantage of the tourism industry cluster. Further, pointing out the tourism industry cluster in the area of tourism promotion of competitiveness and the risk of the cluster.
