It is the way that we choose to determine whether human being's sustainable development can be implemented and fulfilled. Specifically speaking, how we are facing up with fossil fuels, which are oil, coal and natural gas plays the most important role in this question. And world environment's state of health is also affected by our attitude of energy-consuming to a large extent. The old-fashioned way of energy-consuming is collapsing, since it violates the long-term interests of green economy and sustainable development, and the new and the only way comes, which is clean energy. The United States has been gradually researching, developing and exploiting renewable energy as well as clean energy since last 1970s, and now it has become one of those countries who grasp the most advanced technology and method of development and use of renewable energy and clean energy. As soon as Mr. Obama assumed office to be the president of the United States in 2009, he claimed"A country who is able to take over the lead of clean technology will take the road of world's economy of the 21st century."Hence, at the turning point of so called"the Third Industrial Revolution", America's further move towards clean energy is worth us to pay attention to and try our best to catch up.China has been witnessing great progress in her economy and society since the reform and opening up in late 1970s; however, it is undeniable that China's natural environment has made great sacrifice during this process. And there are statistics revealing that China is the most carbon dioxide emission country in total volume, although the number is low per capita. Therefore, it is urgent to develop and utilize clean energy, not only because we traditionally love learning good things, as the largest developing country globally, and are responsible to burden this share, but also because we care about the world and wish to give our mother earth a green future.
