With the development and application of natural gas's increasing,the proportion of natural gas in Chinese energy consumption structure is also gradually increasing. It is predicted that the natural gas consumption will rise from 3.9% to 8.3% until the end of the "five-twelve" period. Environmental quality as a clean energy, natural gas has high conversion efficiency, low environmental costs, low investment, short construction period and many other advantages, this brings great opportunities and challenges to Chinese natural gas power generation.Especially in recent years, gas-steam combined cycle technology as an important supplement to Chinese thermal power, has become an inevitable trend of development of electric power, it both can save the world's energy resources with growing tension,and protect the environment. At present, the gas turbine's power has already surpassed 300MW,the simple circulate's thermal efficiency has surpassed 39%, the combined-cycle's thermal efficiency has surpassed 58%,the combined -cycle's thermal efficiency is much higher than all its composition.The gas turbine and combined-cycle's status have obviously enhanced in electrical power system of the world.At this stage, improve operational effectiveness continuously is the requirement both of the various business and social's development. With flexible operation, the natural gas power plants have fast unit start, start a high success rate, both can be used with baseload peaking, and the advantage of close to load centers. The Ge-ermu gas power station also give full play to all these advantages. However, the natural gas electricity generation also has some problems, especially as natural gas's price,electricity's price,technological reformance and so on, all of which may affect the operational efficiency. In this regard, how to take measures to achieve maximum efficiency is the most important consideration to the development of each enterprise.This article made analysis and evaluation to the power station's status focuses on features of the power station, status and weaknesses of production and management, then made a calculation and research for the effection of the power station's operation benefit from the mode of operation,technological reformation and so on. Finally,bring up some ideals to improve the operation benefit,such as'medium pressure steam cogeneration technology'Which proposed by Harvard Business School's university professor Michael Porter as the theory of value chain;The U.S. economist Paulding's theory of circular economy that promoting CDM projects,fighting for the support of national policy an so on.Then makes every effort to expand the operating mode power and he development opportunities of the power station.Over all, the natural gas has particular advantage in the electricity generation through comparison.No matter view from the economics or environmental protection, the natural gas electricity generation has become the most important choice of natural gas's use in the worldwide scale. But at the same time,there is a great challenge to improve the operating efficiency of gas power stations, it requires us to focus on tapping the potential efficiency, in order to explore all advantages that produced by the combining of natural gas and power generation.
