With the vigorous development of various types of broadband services, requirements in communication capacity for operators and users have become higher and higher.Nowadays, Single-channel rate dominated by 10Gbit/s has been far from satisfying the needs of users. In recent years, the popularity of the Internet applications,such asP2P ,led to a sustained, rapid increase in IP traffic. the existing long-haul WDM networks based on lOGbit/s have been showing a "powerless" state. demands for the system of 40Gbit/s WDM system are increasing day by day, Its application has been on the agenda. In the first half of 2008, Nortel Networks launched the first 40Gbit/s optical network transmission equipment to meet market demands.and offered programs that can be easily upgraded for operators to protect existing network investments, Shortly thereafter, Huawei, ZTE, Fiberhome and other domestic manufacturers have also introduced 40G commercial systems,DWDM Optical Transceiver Module based on International Standard Also won a high degree of interest in optical communications industry and widely accepted by the market. This paper aims to develop 40Gbps DPSK Optical Transceiver Module, compared With the traditional short-range 40Gbps optical transceiver module, DPSK optical transceiver module has a 3dB power advantage by a given BER.Firstly, In this paper, high-speed DWDM optical fiber communication system development status and trends are analyzed, introduces related agreements and overall framework of the 40Gbps DPSK optical transceiver modules, Secondly,basic concepts of optical modulation are introduced,Principles of modulation and demodulation for NRZ, DPSK, DQPSK formats are derivated,analyse the Impact on the optical power of the output signal when MZ modulator's zero point drifts through MATLAB simulation,And reached a control program,analyze the relationship of average optical power between constructive por and decontructive port when FSR equals to 66.7GHz, and in a 50GHz Wavelength interval DWDM optical fiber communication system, Strong filtering distortion on DPSK signal caused by narrow-band optical filter. Finally,verified the performance of the various parts of the module by experiment,Full-text is summarized and Proposed work plan for the next step.
