In recent years, with VoIP (Voice over IP) technology and Ad Hoc networks technology getting a rapid development, the IP voice technology in mobile ad hoc networks become the focus of transport research. Ad Hoc networks can be a separate set of network, but also access Internet network through joint points with other wireless network. Because of its feature, such as self-organizing, self configuring, self-healing features, when an Ad Hoc network is applied to rapid deployment, it'll be easy maintenance, low cost, suitable for communication in the distant waters fishing fleet, the Typhoon and flood disaster relief, and so on. But the voice quality and the transfer capacity, performance and business simulation is also needed to get an in-depth study. The core of this paper is analysis of mobile ad hoc network VoIP performance. Research for application of VoIP technology will bring a great significance in the development of marine communications.Specific work:First, paper analyzes the characteristics of Ad Hoc networks, including routing protocols in mobile ad hoc network MAC layer and run mode, to provide a concrete basis for establishing a reasonable simulation of mobile ad-hoc network environment and set parameters in the simulation process, also lay the Foundation for simulation.Secondly, studying the technical standards related to VoIP, including VoIP packet grouping, speech coding, application areas such as technical standards, as well as QoS quality of service standards, focusing on the quality of user experience (QoE) metrics and methods. Different speech coding standard allows different performance in the transmission. Furthermore, QoE standards provide the primary basis for the analysis and evaluation of simulation results.Third, paper uses the NS-2network simulation as the tool for different coding standards of speech signals in different environmental parameters on simulation model of analog transmission. Then it gets an analysis the simulation data in four further:delay, packet loss, jitter and delay throughput, then to get the R-factor of QoE, for comprising the performance of different speech coding. Finally, combined with simulation data, evaluation of service quality standards, paper makes an integral analyze VoIP performance.
