Since the advanced process controller becomes more and more popular inthe process control, great benefits has been increased. While due to theunstable performance in the on-line processes, the MPC controller, which is akind of APC systems, is not very trusted. For this reason, the self-healingalgorithm is very necessary when the performance of the system gets down.Firstly, the parameters Q and R of the MPC system are used to recoverthe performance: The optimal controller output K, which satisfies theconstraints of variances, is calculated based on the MVC~3algorithm. The newparameters Q and R are calculated based on the inverse optimal principle.After putting the new parameters into use, we contrast the different effectsbefore and after.Secondly, the way of tuning the parameter of MPC model is used torecover the performance: The expression of the linear matrix equationincluding the unknown parameters is showed in the article. The self-healingformula is derivated based on the algorithm of the new neural dynamics. Further, the new neural dynamic networks are shown in the article to solvingthe unknown parameters. The performance of the system will get recoveredafter using the new precise parameters. The convergence of this algorithm hasbeen proved in the article to make sure the method can be used in practice.Finally, a new kind of two-degree-of-freedom IMC controller is designedfor a practical problem. The high performance of the set point tracking anddisturbance overcoming is analyzed during the controlling process. Theunknown parameters1and2are calculated based on the MVC~3algorithm.
