The Digital Image Algorithm Research Of Material Hardness Measurement

This article focuses on digital image processing algorithms which relate to the measurement of material hardness. On the basis of the framework created by the previous, this paper proposes a better AF algorithm and hardness image processing algorithms.In this article, the material hardness measurement method is the Vickers hardness measurement. Vickers hardness measurement is used in industrial area frequently. Now, many researchers home and abroad are studying on how to implement automatic measurement of Vickers hardness using image processing method. After studying many Vickers hardness measurement systems from domestic and overseas and verifying algorithms relate to them, author find out some deficits on them. So with our own hardware conditions the paper proposes an AF algorithm with wider range and variable speed and image processing algorithm with high accuracy.This article will introduce from the Vickers hardness measurement principle, then image acquisition part of Vickers hardness measurement, then the indentation image processing algorithms, and finally will introduce the automatic measurement system. The Vickers hardness measurement principle part will introduce the principle of Vickers hardness measurement, the state regulations, hardware, and other information. Image acquisition section will focus on AF algorithm. Indentation image processing section will introduce the available treatment technologies at home and abroad, highlighting the indentation image processing algorithms presented in this paper. Finally, for the entire automatic measurement system proposed in this paper a concrete and feasible approach will be proposed.The proposed algorithms in this article are implemented through Visual Studio2003MFC. And it could well meet with the accuracy, wide range and speed of AF and the accuracy and speed of indentation image processing.
