Weibo(an electronic communication software), which once have been anamusement way in spare times. However, as being accompanied with theentering into commercial times, Weibo has been considered more and morevaluable in recent periods. The convenience of publishing any informationat any time via many kind of media tools, the concise and clear expressionway with140words limitation, and other features all are intensive andobvious advantages of Weibo when compared with other mediums.Currently, the population of Weibo users has been larger than ahundred million. Due to the enormous amount of users, the method to balanceits cultural value, social worth as well as commercial benefit has becomea hot topic which concerned by lots of people. This could also be an issue,to some extent, which needs to take serious account of by both the softwareoperator and users. As a result, the key point of this essay is based onthe discussion of this issue while trying to find the proper way to solveit.The essay start with the definition, origin and development of Weibo,rational summarized the developing history which was followed by manyrepresentative case studies at meanwhile. Afterward, the analysis ofpropagation features and characteristics of Weibo has beencomprehensively considered, which would be a supportive data to emphasizethe value of Weibo to the whole society. And then, the role Weibo playedin nowadays social, cultural and commercial field has been discussedthrough case studies. After the above discussion and analysis, thetroubles and restricts faced by Weibo has been found out. Finally, thecorresponding strategies and proposals for future development have beentested out as well.The On account of the detailed and comprehensive analysis, discussionand consideration, the strategies and proposals found in this essay wouldhave the potential to be a future guidance or reference for the developmentof Weibo, which is also the most expecting aim of this essay.
