With the development of the3G network and information processing technology, the wireless video communication has been widely used. H.264video coding standard widely used by virtue of its high compression ratio for video communication, but wireless network's instability cause the emergence of packet loss, making the rapid deterioration of the transmission of video quality. So do the research on the H.264how to better adapt to the3G network video communication applications is of great significance.This paper on the basis of study of the characteristics of H.264video coding, research on the motion estimation module, improve the standard UMHexagonS algorithm of H.264video coding standard and test the improved algorithm on the official reference test platform JM10.1. The experiment results show that the improved algorithm under the premise of ensuring the performance of video quality, reduce average motion estimation time15%, enhance the real-time encoded and conducive to the implementation of real-time encoding of video images transmission.The same time sum up the error resilience tools of the H.264standard and build a3G-based wireless channel simulation platform. Present a new ladder FMO on the basis of analyzing the existing error resilience tool for H.264, the results of wireless channel model-Mobile IP simulation show the ladder FMO can reach a certain balance in the coding efficiency and error resilience performance, show better adaptability to wireless networks ender certain bit rate conditions, is an effective FMO error resilience mode.
