With the development of transmission networks, the number of network elementsuddenly increased. The traditional network management system is a single relationaldatabase with special database interface, which can not fit the expansion storagerequirement. It brought inefficient performance and the pressure of database showed up.Therefore, this paper proposes a distributed-based middleware database system to improvethe capacity and efficiency of the system.Nowdays, many kinds of database exists in the nerworks management system whichleads low code reuse rate. This paper used the SQLAPI++database middleware to avoidthe heterogeneity of multiple databases, and provided a common database interface.Because of the mass data, we brought the distibute databases architecture which stores thedata into several independence computers. It could effectively disperesed the pressure ofdata. Meanwhile, a connection pooling based on the middleware was designed to reducethe consumption of the system. Moreover, master-slave tecnology and memcachedtecnology were introduced into the system in order to increase the database readingefficiency. Experiments show that the efficiency of database has been improved obviouslyin the aspects of alarm and performance module.Chapter One of this thesis, first introduced the development of transmission networkand network management database over the past decade, and proposed the necessity forlarge capacity and high efficiency design, and then explain the purpose and significance ofthis article; Chapter2discussed the techniques we would be used and introduced themiddleware and distributed database technology, described the characteristics ofSQLAPI++middleware, finnally proposed a new design ideas; Chapter3proposed adistributed database middleware system architecture, and described the function of eachmodule and the optimization of middleware performance in alarm and perpormance;Chapter4gave a feasible distributed middleware system scheme on the existingtransmission network and described the algorithm and logic module. Chapter5gave a test of the capacity and efficiency, and analyzed the results; Chapter6of the text are summaryand outlook.
