ForCES router which adpots Control and Forwarding Separation (ForCES) technology has open architecture, modular design of the network components.It can generate a new reconstruction business flexibly, which makes new business implementation is the same as adding the software and hardware modules like building blocks. Network coding is a novel network transmission technology. It proposes a new idea of theory that intermediate nodes have the function of encoding and decoding. As a new field of communication, its appearance makes achievement of multicast capacity in the limited bandwidth communications network possible, providing a higher transmission rate and transmission performance as well as high utilization of network resources.In this dissertation, ForCES router makes use of modular characterisics to construct random network coding modular.As a result, it can encode data streams that satified the requirement in a multicast network.On this basis, a multicast coding graph with two redundant IP layer is constructed using disjoint paths. With such graph, a distributed random network coding is used in ForCES router. Experiments show that the proposed algorithm can get higher throughput, when the receiver reaches150, the throughput has doubled compared with PIM-SM.
