Considering the x86 in the industry monopoly position and have rich software resources, implementation of software on x86 processor platforms can run on the Alpha processor platform transparent and efficient migration. Research of effective performance optimization strategies, the binary code execution transplant close to or equal to the efficiency of the local machine has important practical significance.Paper first analyzes the dynamic binary translation technology in the development of the simulator, the dynamic binary simulator QEMU as a research platform, studied in detail QEMU with translation mechanism, key technologies and related important code; For realizing platform with Alpha processor to build a based on x86 system-level virtual machine, realized in system virtual machine to run based on x86 architecture structure of applications and operation system for Linux, in order to achieve the purpose of Alpha processor compatible x86 program. In the system-level virtual machine platform, to use SPEC2000, Tiotest, Netpipe and Stream test set to test the performance of the transplant, through the analysis of test results, analysis of the impact of the virtual machine performance of the main factors: first, the overhead of the simulator itself, including the register map, simulator translation mechanism, the virtual machine memory address mapping, indirect jump instruction processing and context switching; second is due to differences in the architecture, such as flag overhead caused by processing.Based on test and analysis, the paper proposed system virtual machine performance optimization solutions and proposed a based on information feedback of indirect transfer predicition technology.
