Loop Stepper Delay Range-gated Imaging Of Three-dimensional Display

Compared with 2D image, the 3D image owns its advantages of 3D effect and much more information, which is an important research field of image display technology. In the paper, suitable 3D display algorithms of range-gated images are discussed after analysing every procedure of 3D displaying.Firstly, the 3D imaging device of circular step advance delay range-gated is introduced, then range-gated technique and delayed synchronous control technique are specially focused on, and finally through the experiment, the range-gated image sequences of underwater target are obtained. As the range-gated images are characteristics of fuzziness and intensity uneven, three improved homomorphism filtering algorithms (IHF) are proposed on the basis of discussing piecewise histogram equalization and homomorphism filtering, which are separately from the consideration of airspace, wavelet and algorithm rate. To obtain the isotropic volume data, two ways of gray-based interpolation methods are discussed, and the paper puts emphasis on a new interpolation algorithm proposed on the basis of elastic-matching. As the result, new algorithm can be applied to the 3D reconstruction which needs high precision. At last, IRC (improved ray-casting) algorithms are proposed after discussing two ways of 3D display methods, which are MC (marching cubes) and RC (raying-casting). And an interactive interface based on BCB is designed.The simulation results show that the range-gated images are improved by IHF methods on some level, good 3D effect and high efficiency are presented by the IRC algorithms, and the designed interface is practical and easy to operate.
