In order to meet the needs of the 10kV distribution network feeder automation and the branch protection, starting from the practical experience, combining with the correlative technological knowledge, this paper has researched and developed the intelligent controller of 10kV demarcation switch, which includes system general design, hardware design and software design.This paper firstly analyzes the working principle and design requirements of the controller, and describes the content of system hardware research and software development processes in detail. This controller is mainly based on the ARM microcontroller LPC1768 and the System-On-Chip CC2430, with protection, control, measurement and display functions. The controller mainly includes power supply module, central control unit, AC sampling module, information storage and real-time clock module, GPRS and ZigBee wireless module, switch-on and switch-off circuit, human-machine interface and handheld terminal, there are several functional modules. The work in hardware design includes the selection of chips, circuit design and so on. Otherwise in software development, the work consists of programming the module driver, packaging functions and realizing the application software and so on.When 10kV feeder line failure occurs in user bounds, intelligent controller, as the important equipment for demarcation switch to realize 10kV feeder automation, can quickly cut off the outgoing branch and isolate feeder faults automatically, ensure the normal power supply of main trunk line and adjacent branches. The controller system design has GPRS wireless communication module, which can exchange information with remote monitoring center, performs real-time monitor to the system and electric power line and improves the reliability of power supply.
