As very common information infrastructure today, internet has gradually penetrated into people's daily lives, information technology is gradually to network-centric.Today, network is developing from the traditional single service form to complex network which is intelligent and more service, and then it can support the service requirements of different network users or diversity of applications effectively.Under the premise of rapidly developing of the network, improve the greatest utilization of equipment resources has become a critical issue, the virtualization of network equipment is inevitable. Dividing a physical network device into multiple network equipments which are logical separation and can provide a variety of services, which has been the goal of network and communication sector. This article is aim to design and implement a system which can provide multiple virtual network devices dynamically base on the same platform of switch device, and study the key implementation technology, especially technology of distributed virtualization in detail. This paper completes the basic functions of the virtual switch, but does not involve any specific exchange business.The software platform of switch devices is Linux-based, the virtualization technology used on it is operating system-level virtualization.In this paper,it completed the virtualization in distributed mode of device base on research of OpenVZ technology and the distributed environment of equipment in-depth. Specifically, make a single distributed switch device into multiple virtual devices, so that each virtual device will be a stand-alone device for the user. Distributed switch equipment has multi-block boards, such as control board and business board, each board has its own hardware resources such as CPU, memory, interfaces and so on.The main work in this article:1) Researched operating system-level virtualization architecture technology of distribu-ted switch based on OpenVZ, given the design and treatment process of multi-CPU computing, communications and file system on the distributed virtual switches.2) Given the distributed virtual switch architecture, achieve the modular design and im-plementation of virtualization management, processing of command line and other aspects.3) Given the modular functional test of distributed virtual switch. Tests show that:the designed distributed virtual switch has functions such as create, delete, start, stop, and resource allocation.It be able to expand exchange business in this distributed virtual switch.Virtualization of distributed switch device make equipment be used for multiple users, increased utilization of equipment greatly, reduce costs of network operating.
