An Ad Hoc network is multi-hop autonomous system consisting of wireless mobile terminal, and it can be built quickly without any fixed infrastructure. Due to the particularity of such network, how to design an efficient routing protocol becomes a hot research topic. There are many types of routing protocols. Multipath routing protocols have many advantages in loading balancing, improving reliability and fault tolerance of routing protocols, so it is widely used. A lot of multipath routing protocols are design by expanding single path routing protocols, just like DSR or AODV. The multipath routing protocols of this type can't suit the network of large scale and high density. Because it will generate a lot of control message, and has broadcast storm problem. We propose a solution to search the multipath with location information. Our approach is zoning by using plane curve, then search path in the sub-region. We use constant C to change the area of sub-region.Then, we use the idea of search multipath to design the Zoning-Based Multipath Routing Protocol (ZBM). ZBM consists of two methods for forwarding packets:weak greedy forwarding, which is used when the activated is in the forwarding region, and border forwarding, which is used when the activated is not in the forwarding region.Simulation and experimental results show that our solution achieves its objectives. We analyze the results of simulation, and get the best value of constant C, in networks of different density. The ZBM better than M-Zone routing protocol at reducing control message, better than BGR routing protocol at number of node joint and average length of path.
