Android OS has been popular with embedded system fans and manufacturers since it wasborn with the characters of opening and transplant.With the development of embedded hardwaretechnology and the simultaneous development of market requirement, Android can be widelyused in the embedded realm. In the past, most of the development companies develop their ownoperating system, but this method costs a lot, lasts a very long development cycle and causespoor compatibility among different systems, which is not conducive for the promotion ofplatform. However, since Google released the Android operating system, various manufacturersand researchers have joined this system developing project, aim to apply it to the hardwareplatform of their products. With the development of embedded hardware technology, as well asthe increasing demand for the operating system function, Android operating system has a morepromising future in the embedded technology field.The embedded technology based on ARMand embedded Linux have become spot light of current embedded field.In this thesis, first of all, t studies the organization and the structural principle ofAndroid,and analyze of Android's architecture, operation principles, Linux kernel optimizationand graphic system. Then, it regards S3C2410 as a platform of transplantation. Android OS canboot its kernel and mount file system successfully and transplant to ARM9 platform with mainapplication fuctions. After that, print in the android system experiments is successful.
