With the rapid development of mobile Internet, the world's telecom operators are looking for a new mobile broadband communication system with lower cost and higher transmission rate to support the raising market for multimedia entertainment and other mobile applications. The inherent characteristics of TD-LTE, including high transmission rate, high frequency spectrum efficiency and low delay, have make it becomes many telecom operators'first choice of carry out large-scale commercial of next-generation mobile communication system.A test process with more efficiency, more rigorous and lower cost has a significant impact on whether the development of TD-LTE communication system would be successful. Therefor, this paper researches the Communication Sub-System Platform Tester which based on TD-LTE communication system; it can save the cost of manpower, time and equipment greatly.This thesis firstly introduces the structure and principles of TD-LTE system and studies the signaling processes relate to the third layer of TD-LTE protocol. Then describes the testing techniques involved in this study and the definition of automated testing. And then the design of CSPT based on the test requirements of TD-LTE communication sub-system is proposed.Meanwhile, it presents the implementation details of CSPT, including the module architecture, the interface of testing the control plane signaling and user plane data transmission, and the realization of automated testing. Finally, this paper describes the practical application of CSPT in the TD-LTE communication sub-system integration testing through a downlink data transmission test case.Using the multi-thread modular design, CSPT divides its function into many independent threads. It was proved that CSPT is easy to use, with high reliability and can reduce the time of repeat testing greatly after the practical use in the TD-LTE communication sub-system integration test.
