Research Of Moving Object Detection And Tracking Technology

Moving object detection and tracking technology is the hot topic and key technology of research in the field of computer vision, which combines image processing, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and automatic control and many other fields of knowledge.It is an interdisciplinary and challenging topics at the forefront, and has a wide range of applications in the intelligent visual surveillance, intelligent transportation, human-computer interaction, video, image compression, medical image analysis, robot vision and navigation areas.Moving object detection and tracking technology is the focus of this study. Static scene in moving object detection and tracking technologies such as video surveillance systems, traffic control systems has matured, and has been widely used in the military, transportation, industrial manufacturing, medical, and daily life. In this paper based on the results of previous studies, the moving object detection and tracking technology has been improved and implemented. The following work was completed:First, In-depth analysis of principles and characteristics of several common moving object detection algorithm. Second, propose an improved algorithm for Gaussian mixture background modeling, using a constant learning rate as a variance, to solve the variance problem of Gaussian mixture background modeling;Third, several commonly used motion detection algorithm were compared, after a large number of experiments, the test results for various algorithms, real-time, algorithm complexity, and complex environmental adaptability, a summary analysis of performance and comprehensive comparison have been done. Lastly, focuses on the Kalman filter based moving object tracking technology, gives a Kalman filter based moving object tracking algorithm, moving object tracking was realized by moving object detection, motion Estimation, target matching and tracking, and moving object can be tracked accurately.
