The paper focuses on the study of measurement data retrieval for plasma discharge in magnetic confinement fusion experiments massive diagnostic database. Based on the analyzing of the structure of the database model, the fusion experiment database has a hierarchy structure model. Then an investigation about the application of several popular databases in fusion discharge experiment, and ultimately the MDSplus database was chosen as the data source of the massive experiment data retrieval. A detailed analysis of prevail MDSplus database in international fusion community is described. Analysis of the logical and physical structure of MDSplus data storage, its data access interfaces, its model three and discharge pulse database creation are carried out. An example of C-MDSplus data access program and its flowchart is shown. Based on the analysis of MDSplus database, the data analyst's basic requirement of experiment data retrieval is analyzed first. Then the experiment data retrieval algorithm based on keyword information is proposed. In order to parsing the input retrieval keywords, a relational database with MySQL about the common retrieval keywords and the MDSplus signal node name is created. Then, the detailed experimental data retrieval algorithm using single keyword and multi-keywords are carried out. A new experimental data information retrieval system based on B/S architecture is developed. Based on the interconnection of browser and web server, the remote experimental data retrieval is realized.
