Followed by the development of network and communication technology, multimedia applications go through for a large scales and varieties. The conventional unicast technology can't fit into the application's development, and its lower utilities of bandwidth and latency between ends largely constrains the multicast application's services. As this, the IP Multicast technology is adopted and applied into a small scale. But, as some problems which contain group management and session security and address space and allocation and routing technology and accounting mechanism and so on, the IP Multicast can't be applied into a large scales in the Internet.The application-layer multicast technology occurs that, to some extent, it solves the IP Multicast's some problems. As it builds a virtual network on the substrate network, It does not change the present network' architecture and adds some backbone routers. It only adds some the relative application programs to the ends. Using it, it doesn't save the expenditure, but also rapidly support deployment and enlarge the scale of network.This thesis provides multilayer overlay network routing technology based on IPv6 environment with evaluating the principle and algorithm of Host Multicast. This multicast technology firstly divides the Internet into some autonomous systems, and it includes lot of domains within the autonomous system. Each domain contains host or LAN or IP Multicast alone, and they connect with TCP tunneling model. At the same time, the domains construct mesh each other for assuring the reliability of the datum. Secondly, the model constructs circle structure with the rendezvous points within each autonomous system. It solves the Host Multicast's reliability in the transmission, and also extents the application scales and achieves the compatibility with ALMs.Using GT-ITM to produce the hierarchical level of Transit-Stub and NS2 to simulate test,it provide the performance comparability which include the link quality (such as stretch and stress)and the protocol overhead and failure recovery and the convergence of the tress. As a result, It verifies that the model embraces the dependability and stability, and reduces the latency and enhances the packet's security, and also achieve the QoS mechanism.
