Along with the development of computer and photoelectric, visual measurement technology has been widely utilized. As a kind of non-contact measurement method has been attracting more and more attention.So far, no literature about visual measurement on riverway has been found. Though the existing measuring technologys can have certain precision measurement, their measuring process is complex. And they also have the disadvantages as follows:having high equipment performance requirements, not having real-time monitoring performance, can't getting real-time 3D coordinate information of the riverway, and so forth. In this paper, he measuring technology of measuring the riverway physical can solve the problems above. And the content can be seen as follows:(1)On the analysis of the relationship between different projection model and imaging, a kind of perspective projection visual imaging model suitable for measuring is chosen in this paper. At the same time, the binocular model based on monocular is deduced. For follow-up application, setting a camera light heart position as the world coordinate and calibrating the binocular visual measuring parameters are also completed.(2)A kind of artificial feature point has been chosen for riverway scene measuring. On account of the disadvantage of HARRIS algorithm's can't getting precise feature points, an improved algorithm which can locate the feature points accurately. And this improved algorithm greatly improves the measurement results.(3)Combining the polar contraintion theory with the SIFT algorithm which has the rotation invariant, light invariant and size invariant, this paper has realized the matching point by point. And the experiment results prove that this method is effective.(4)A new method of getting the space coordinates after images correction is put forward in this paper. This method directly gets the linear space coordinates based on the images that rectified by bilinear interpolation. And it solves the complexity and uncertainty of the traditional least squares techinique. The experiment results prove that this method is feasible.Finally, achievement and deficiency of thesis are summarized, ideas on improving the research on rverway measuring based on binocular vision are introduced, and the research forecast is proposed also.
