In this paper, the sensor technology is applied to the discus sports, which can be called digital discus. Under the help of the sensor technology, a real-time data acquisition of the moving discus information can be easily gained. It's a great significance to get the accurate kinetic data and kinematic data of the moving discus for the sports like discus.After a real-time acquisition of the moving discus information(Acceleration and angular velocity for the three directions of X,Y,Z.),this system will send these information to the receiver via wireless, the receiver then receive these information by the way that the receiver connects to the computer via serial or USB port. The received data will be processed, and the procedure is as follows:coordinate transformations, error handling, physical computing, mathematics and invalid data handling. Then discus acceleration, velocity, force, trajectory, pitch angle, roll angle, the time of discus landings well as information such as the speed and angle will be obtained. In order to analyze the data more intuitively and conveniently, the system is designed to be able to draw the discus acceleration curve, velocity curve, force curve and the trajectory curve, and be able to get the time of the moving discus and it's detail by clicking the curves. This design provides a more convenient way for athletes and their coaches to view these data, do analysis and find the problem. Finally, the system uses statistical analysis and data mining to do analysis with these data collected. The statistical analysis seeks the statistical regularities for the multiple sets of motion data collected. And extract data from the times of discus picking up, throwing, and landing, then comparative analysis of the various stages in the discus movement can be done; The data mining uses the Apriori algorithm to do the association analysis for the shot speed of the discus, shot angle, roll angle, pitch angle, and other attributes to get the association rules, and it will play a vital role in improving athletes training and performance.
