With the development of computer and network technology, more and more enterprise application software are running and being distributed on multi-server platform, and being connected remote data source. In the large munitions managing and dispatching system, the various application software are distributed on various computer terminal, some terminals depend on the same database server, but some terminals can't access remote database because restricted in network or operating system, therefore the restricted terminals must depend on the database of themselves. At the same time, various terminals have the large numbers of requirement for data exchange. This thesis proceeds from real business requirement and base on the project practice, introduce a new method using.NET Framework and XML document for data exchange in various computer terminals. With the features of platform independency, easy extendibility, good interactivity and strong semantics, XML becomes the factual standard of data exchange, XML based data exchange model could easily implement the description of the isomeric databases and the exchange between the data sources。The important of data exchange based on XML for heterogeneous data is the data converting arithmetic between relational data and object data. This thesis introduce some technologies of XML, heterogeneous data exchange, and.NET reflection, and based on these technologies, introduce a method for designing heterogeneous data exchanging software module:using ORM (object relation mapping) to convert relational data to object data, using XML serialize and de-serialize to convert data between XML document and object. The heterogeneous data exchanging software module has a good effect on the project practice.
