The spread area of the pills is wide and random that is a more obvious upward trend than in the past. The traditional cable testing equipment lay out too much and too long. When the burst point was on the ground, it's easy to damage instrument or transmission wires, and that's result in the testing data was lost and the testing program was canceled. In order to solve the problem, the research on the acoustic positioning technology based on the wireless sensor networks was used widely. The wireless sensor networks integrated sensor, wireless communication technology, signal processing technology and control technology etc. So it was used in military and civilian fields widely.Wireless acoustic sensor networks which was based on the detection and transmission was used in the paper. To achieve information capture in complex environment, wireless sensor networks and acoustic positioning technology were combined. In the first the paper analyzes the characteristics of low-level sound propagation, sound positioning technology and delay estimation algorithm. According to positioning needs, this paper presents the application model systems based on five-element cross array which was based on a short baseline algorithm, and combined with the geometric relationship between the five-element cross with acoustic positioning principle gave the position coordinates, considering the some factors, and analyze some problems in the algorithm design, such as the distance of the array element, the target azimuth and tilt angle. Those factors impact on the positioning accuracy. In the second, in the system RF24L01 was used as a main wireless transmission chip to achieve transmission of experimental data, and the hardware and software modules were designed. Combined with time delay estimation algorithms and geometric arrays algorithm, the treatment system is constructed, and the passive acoustic positioning system based on wireless sensor network is achieved.Test system for wireless network transmission and acoustic sensor positioning was tested on the playground, through the demonstration experiment. The results of experimental data simulation show that the algorithm improves the positioning accuracy of the burst point test, and improved the accuracy of the burst point of projectile for the azimuth, the system of error analyses were shown, the established geometry and positioning algorithm is correct.Finally, this paper had done a summary of the system, which provided some direction of improvements for the further study of sound localization system, while this sound localization system provided some of the hardware platform for further research. So the result of this research promotes the development of the advantage weapons, and establishes the application of wireless sensor networks acoustic orientation foundation in the future.
