With a variety of integrated circuit technology, various types of equipment increasingly compact and intelligent. At the same time, people also has high requirements for tester testing process and the test result more precision, So the RLC Tester is no exception. Traditional impedance test methods, such as AC bridge method (measurement for a long time), LC resonant method (low accuracy), and other advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, This article, after comparing several options, ultimately select the impedance transformation method to design high-precision voltage RLC intelligent tester, which adopts the impedance voltage converter measurement resistance R, inductance L, capacitance C of the intelligent tester. Change the inductance L (or the capacitor C) by the oscillator into a frequency signal f, and then sent f to the microcontroller LM3S1138, in the microcontroller's internal counter counts, record the square wave pulse generated by frequency, and inductance value(or Capacitance value) calculated by the program. So conversion the analog to digital, and ultimately spread to the shift register through the serial port, and then out through the LCD screen display shows the final measurement results.This article first discusses the basic summary of smart meters and trends. Then determined by comparing the programe the hardware design of the project and the chips select. MAX038 as the main chip on the smart signal generator and the based on LM3S1138 controller was the system's basic characteristics and the inner workings of structure, Discussed of actual use of functions specific analysis. And focuses on the application of the system programming and application design. Specific study of the actual programming and applications of the Frequency measurement, Impedance measurement, Human-machine interface and the AD/DA module etc. The Intelligent Test System for the ultimate realization of the structures of the experiment and debug.
