Research And Application Of Remote Management Technology For Embedded Internet Device

The embedded devices, which working traditionally in separate mode can not communicate and share data with each other when there are multiple devices. Administrator to get the information of embedded devices gathered. When there is a multitude and widespread of embedded devices, the administrative of expenses and difficulty will be incread. Therefore, it's a direction of Embedded devices integrate with Internet technology through which administrator can remote monitor and manage multiple embedded devices.In this thesis the author researches the related key technology of embedded devices access to the Internet, including linux kernel porting, building a file system, embedded Web server, CGI technology and Etc. The author builds a development software and hardware platform which is based on S3C2440 ARM 920T and Linux2.6.25.8 core. The author realizes a LightTPD server in this platform. Finally, the author designs and realizes a FastCGI module used to improve the work of CGI defects.In this thesis the remote management working principle of Embedded Internet devices is as follows: embedded devices collected and saved data on SQLite database. The administrator sends request to LightTPD server. After LightTPD server received the request, it parses out and passes the requested information to FastCGI module which selects a CGI program to deal the data selected form SQLite database. And then CGI program returns back processed data to FastCGI module which returns the data to LightTPD server. Fianlly, LightTPD server returns the data to Web browser. The author designed and developed an parking management system, which uses the Browser/Server architecture, based on LightTPD server and SQLite database, designed and realized timing, charging, checking remained parking spaces, the remained spaces simultaneously displayd on the large screen and system remote management capabilities.
