Temperature detection technique has been widely applied to various areas of daily life, such as the industrial boiler temperature field testing; the air temperature distribution testing; deep-sea hydrothermal temperature distribution testing; indoor temperature distribution monitoring. Temperature detection methods used can be divided into contact and non-contact. Contact temperature measurement contacts with the measured medium directly which limits it can't be used in corrosive or high temperature environments. As a new non-contact temperature measurement technology, Acoustic temperature measurement technology has many advantages, wide temperature range (0-1900℃), wide area of measurement (tens of meters), high accuracy, real-time measurement, easy to maintain.This paper introduces the basic principle of the acoustic method briefly. A new 3D temperature field reconstruction algorithm based on acoustic travel-time tomography is proposed. Compared with the typical method of least squares, pixel number of the new three-dimensional temperature field reconstruction algorithm is not limited by the total number of acoustic flight path. So the new reconstruction algorithm is better than least squares for complex temperature field. Use five typical 3D temperature fields one-peak symmetry three-dimensional temperature field, one-peak bias three-dimensional temperature field, two-peak symmetry three-dimensional temperature field, four-peak symmetry three-dimensional temperature field and indoor uniform three-dimensional temperature field to verify the new algorithm. Give the reconstruction results and error analysis. Simulation results show that the algorithm has high reconstruction accuracy and strong anti-jamming capability. In addition, this paper summarizes the affect of the number and location of the sensor, the effective path selection method, the number of pixels, the shape parameters and filtering parameter settings of algorithm to the reconstruction accuracy.Using 20 sensors, a reconstruction experiment of 1m×1m×1m temperature field is executed. Read the acoustic travel times of room temperature provided by hardware acquisition circuitry, and then by the use of 3D temperature field reconstruction algorithm proposed in this paper, reconstruct the field and give the results of reconstruction and error analysis. Experimental results show that the new algorithm has a strong anti-noise ability, and reconstruct indoor uniform temperature field accurately.
