The primary information of modern radar detection are target's distance, speed, angle and other parameters, with the increasing use of radar, the target detection requirements are higher, such as long distance, more targets, and strong interference, the research of interrelated technology is important. Therefore, under this background, the thesis researched the signal processing technology of the frequency stepped pulses.Between the sub-carrier pulses in stepped frequency pulses signal, the frequency of pulses maintained linear stepped, the echo processed the target distance image, and the pulses compounded the large time-bandwidth product signal, so system had high-resolution to the closing and multiple targets. Based on those identities, the thesis first analyzed the principle of the frequency stepped pulses system, and established a complete system based on the signal; secondly, researched and simulated the static and moving target system by using of the MATLAB SIMULINK platform, further researched the issue of moving target's distance image; then by comparison with the linear frequency modulation, highlighted the high-resolution performance of the system; finally, for the main system module, used the circuit simulation software to handle the circuit design.
