Visible Light Communication (VLC) is an emerging optical wireless communication technology which is developed with white LEDs. Using the high speed response of LEDs, the data can be transferred by modulated onto the visible light waves of LEDs. Its advantages are high transmission power, wide coverage, and no electromagnetic interference, energy conservation, etc. This dual function of LED, for lighting and communication, creates an absolutely new method of broadband access for optical wireless communication. But up to present, the researches of VLC still are in the start level. The modulated bandwidth of current application white LED is low. In order to realize the wide application of big communication capacity VLC, this paper will combine two-dimensional coding, MIMO technology with VLC, put forward two schemes of parallel communication system of visible light.This paper s mainly works are as follows:(1) Consulting literatures and books about visible light communication.(2) After summarized the application of two-dimensional coding in VLC parallel communication system, this paper has put forward a scheme of visible light parallel communication system which is suitable for outdoor. It analyzed the related technologies of signal modulation and demodulation. The author set up a physical demonstration system. Preliminary results demonstrated the feasibility of this scheme. He discussed some issues for to further improve this system. It can expand the range of applications of VLC not only improve the system s capacity.(3) After summarized the application of MIMO in VLC parallel communication system, this paper has explored a scheme of more efficient VLC parallel communication system which is suitable for indoor. On this basis, the author set up a physical demonstration system. The feasibility of this method has been verified by the result of the experiment. He discussed some issues for to further improve this system. It makes the options of indoor broadband access to be more abundant.
