With the rapid development of information society, the new generation mobile communication system for information puts forward to higher request for transmission rate and service quality. Recent research at home and abroad shows that multi-input multi-output (MIMO) technology can greatly improve the system capacity. So it can make MIMO technology become the key technology for the next generation mobile system standard. The related theory and technology also becomes the focus of people studies, including pre-coding algorithm, codebook construction and pre-coding technology based on limited feedback. The pre-coding technology of multi-input multi-output system has been concerned widely because it can make full use of space resources and increase exponentially channel capacity and spectrum efficiency without any increase in signal bandwidth conditions. In this paper, we research the pre-coding algorithm and codebook in MIMO downward link communication system. We build and design limited feedback MIMO communication system with finishing the C language programming work.To sum up, the main content of this thesis is as follows:1. We discuss several linear pre-coding algorithms which is suitable for single user. It includes ZF(Zero-Forcing) pre-coding algorithms and MMSE(Minimum Mean Squared Error) pre-coding algorithms. The nonlinear algorithm include dirty paper pre-coding. In addition, we also discuss the pre-coding algorithm which is based on channel decomposition. It includes SVD(Singular Value Decomposition) pre-coding algorithm. At last, we research the performance of these non-codebook-based pre-coding algorithms by simulation.2. We mainly discuss BD (Block Diagonalization) and MSINR(Maximum Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio) algorithms in the multi-user MIMO communication system. At last. We compare the performance of two algorithms by experiment.3. We discuss the pre-coding technology based on codebook and expound the codebook construction principles and selection criteria. The paper design the limited feedback MIMO communication system. It studies and compares the performance and complexity by simulating the current company codebook. It would provide the reference for further codebook research.
