Novel services will appear accompanying with the development of the Internet of Things (IoT). However, due to the special characteristics of IoT, such as diversity, dynamic, real-time, etc, the existing service platforms can't be fully applicable to the services of IoT. Therefore, the establishment of an efficient service platform of IoT has certain significance. This thesis studies current situation of IoT and IoT platform and presents the level structure of IoT platform on the basis of satisfaction of IoT services. Great attention is paid to the concepts of the support layer and the overall design, internal logic structure and function realizations are illustrated. Meanwhile, a real-time scheduling strategy of scheduling module is studied for the real-time service processing in the prototype of support layer. The earliest deadline first (EDF) algorithm is selected as a basic scheduling strategy and a restricted preemption (RPEDF) based on the combination of merits of preemptive and non-preemptive algorithm is presented which can effectively reduce preemptive number of running real-time tasks. The support layer prototype of the IoT service platform is realized and environment for simulation is well designed. Performance evaluation between RPEDF and preemptive EDF is also given. Results show that RPEDF performs better than preemption EDF in both average and max preemption.
