China's railway construction has made a significant change in recent years. The railway operational miles have been multiplied. The automation level of railway operation has been improved and the speed of train has been greatly increased. All these changes made the railway electrical monitoring system improving itself in scale, station density and reliability. To meet these needs and make a further development, the network management system based on the railway electrical monitoring system has come into being. This article is just to research the front-end processor of railway electrical monitoring system.The front-end processor system can communicate with monitoring systems of stations to analyze real-time data, and send these results to background workstation as a basic for decision making. Multi-line Redundancy system is made up of some front-end processors, but each of them is relatively independent internet to communicate with others, analyze data package and send/receive data; at the same time, all front-end processors are correlative and be managed by manager (Manager is a important managing module of front-end processor, and be responsible for assigning and issuing scheduling for tasks for each node). Each front-end processor share certain tasks in normal operation, in case of failure, the manager will assign tasks according to task assigned policy, isolate the broken-down front-end processor and transfer its tasks to the back one, thereby to ensure the system's reliability. The multi-line redundancy system is made up of some front-end processors and reduce the demand to single machine, this makes the system has better expansibility. Based on these advantages, users no longer need to buy the expensive server.This thesis discusses the present situation and deficiency of front-end processor system and put forward a solution to dealing with the problems. The system proposed by this thesis mainly consists of six functional modules (communicating module, protocol analyzing module, manager machine module, real-time data controlling module, data scanning module and the module which interacting with data of background) and two assistant module(progress managing module and parameter managing module). The human-computer interface realizes functions by invoking these modules. This thesis makes a detailed analysis on communicating module, protocol analyzing module, nodes managing module.In chapters and sections of this thesis, the software process diagrams, and the operational principle and function allocation are discussed and introduced in detail. Then the system application and improving methods are discussed. In the end, this thesis presents the prospect for future application of the front-end processor system.
