Nowadays the automatic extent of metallurgy commercial production gets higher and higher. In the file of cold rolling, due to the continuous production process too complex, too many reference points and the equipment distributed too widely, each process and each equipment worked in parallel, highly demanding in real-time, largely data exchange capacity, required greater precision of production, the distributed computer control system is more and more introduced into the real work.. The distributed computer control system is divided into three levels:production management level, process control level, basic automation level. As the process control level is characteristic of easily controlled, rapidly development of relevant hardware and software, it is increasingly becoming the pivotal step of increasing production and improving the quality.In the course of continuous production, the steel coil is unfolded and put into processing in the entrance. At the exit the steel coil is folded again. Thus the band steel takes different characters and states in different position. The thesis takes Baosteel 2030 cold pickling line process control computer system into research and design. First, according to the demand of production technology, the system is divided into the entrance track, the central segment track, the export track and the three regions to be the system function designing modules, while the central segment track includes two parts:material track and weld track. These modules can deal with all the steel coil's information and tracking.Based on the above idea of the material tracking system functional module design, according to computer engineering design, implementation methods of the material tracking subsystem of the database design and implementation of computer program, debugging. In the material information maintenance field, using the ORACLE database management that combine applications and databases which participate in 2030 pickling line process control. The system design is based on using Red Hat Linux operating system, database using ORACLE 10g, programming using standard C. The functions of the material tracking capability include system requirements, database design, functional process design and programming, both the offline test and online capabilities into the test realize the functions of the coil information tracking, play the entire process control level the role of the computer system's core scheduling. Field production shows that the establishment of the material tracking system functionality in Baosteel 2030 pickling line which obtain a good application effect.
