With the development of the network, especially with the decline in the price of PC machines, the investment cost of a software router equipment, will be further reduced, then the advantage of the software router is clear. With the continuous advancement of the technology, the software router will be a wide range of used in the next years to replace the low-end hardware router.Click is a new software architecture for building flexible and configurable routers. The design of the Click modular router presents flexible and integrate abstract structure, for the general software router is lack of flexible and integrate.This paper does a detailed analysis in RED components of Click software router, It exists three questions, They are parameter setting question, fairness question and can not extinated the seriousness of congestion.This paper adopts the research of adgorithms of ARED,DRED,FRED,CHOKe,WRED and BLUE. Give a improved adgorithm against the questions existant in RED, It is able to adjust the date of minth, and maxth, Verified the calculation method of packet mark, On the basis of keep higher modular, It makes the queue tend to stablizing prepared, And this paper also makes the improned calculation method of RED in modular click software router, Write a new component which called Improud-RED,IT fetch up the deficienies of packet loss rate and queuing time, This paper uses the Click software router platform carry on performance testing and uses the composite component technology does a optimizating. Through the simulation this paper give a improved deficieny which reduce the packet loss of router and shortening the queuing time of date packet, So as to reduce the network delay, At the same time,,The forwarding rate of platform has a obvious exaltation.
