A Burning And Real-time Detection System Of MAC Address In Set-top Box

A detection system of MAC address in Set-top box is used for writing MAC address and real-time detection in the production process through writing the correct MAC address into digital set-top box.A software system in C++ language which has better capability such as good man-machine conversation interface and simple operation is described. It includes four parts of interface design, serial port design, network communication design and database design. First of all, the parameters of serial ports on the client need to be set up to realize the communication with STB in the system. Then the software receives data from bar code scanners and sends it to the server through network at the same time. The server compares the received data with the data in database and returns the results to the client. If the result is correct, the client will write the data in a special address memory space of the STB. In this way, it can solve the problems such as man-made repeating and missing writings during the STB production.The operation of the workshop shows the system works well and the system has achieved good results. It is easy to operate, which is suitable for operators; On the other hand, it is stable, which has realized the stability of the MAC address writing and testing.
