With the development of Chinese movie business, movie companies are facing unprecedentedly competitive pressures. Besides improving hardware services, they have to improve management levels, optimize service quality and develop new markets. Each cinema tends to attract potential and/or high quality customers by using new technologies and platform. However the current Ticketing System in each cinema works independently. The system only has one function and cannot connect to each other. It also cannot be integrated to the systems used by other shops. The cost on upgrading and modifications of the current system is also high and not flexible. In order to solve these existing problems, a Movie Membership Service System based on J2EE platform is introduced. The purpose of the system is to structure an open operation platform for ticketing management and operations. Based on this platform, the system has real-time internet connection to each other and the tickets could also be sold online. It is also easy to be upgraded and easy for business expanding. This thesis mainly focuses on the following aspects:1. Analysis has been done on the movie industrial and current situation of the ticketing system. We also did more thorough analysis on main customers'demands and patterns, and summarized the problems. At the end the theme of this thesis has been selected.2. According to the operation requirements of the cinema, we did the analysis on current technologies and platform. The system is an open platform based on J2EE. There are also introduction and analysis on new technologies and architecture module of J2EE.3. More detailed analysis has been done on this system with open platform. Use case model has been provided with detailed description by using business flow chart.4. According to the requirements, business model and system architecture have been designed. The system contains three levels: Presentation Layer, Business Layer and Persistence Layer. During the implementation, the most popular technology: SSH is used. SSH are Struts, Spring, and Hibernate. The architecture of the system has good extendibility. In the same time Ajax and JXL technology are also used during the implementation.Till now, the system has been accepted by the clients and used in daily work. Customers are satisfied with it after practical use. And the system shows its stability and high scalability as well.
