Nowadays, the lightweight J2EE has a great advantage in the enterprise development. Many developers are in favor of J2EE for its stable performance, well openness and strict security. There are two types of J2EE development: one is lightweight J2EE development platform taken Spring as the core, the other is classic J2EE development platform taken EJB3 as the core.SSH2 combinative framework is the lightweight J2EE which combinates the three open source Struts 2, Spring and Hibernate together. The combination that is based on the J2EE's applicability, high expandability and maintainability can decrease the cost of development and deployment. That's the right reason why the combinative framework has become the first choice among the most small-and-medium-sized companies.This paper first explores the J2EE multi-tier architecture, component technology and then analyse the related knowledge of three framework Struts 2, Spring and Hibernate. According to their features, we design the combination of the three frameworks which is called SSH2 framework. SSH2 combinative framework gives full play to Struts 2, Spring and Hibernate of their respective advantages. In this way, we can reduce the coupling between layers and solve some problems cuased by the high complexity of the system structure. Finally, We apply the SSH2 combinative framework into a practical project development. By doing this we make the development more effective, transplant and maintain, and then we can reduce costs.
