Ground water is an indispensability natural resource in our lives. With the development of modern industrial and agricultural, the rational development and effective utilization to groundwater resources is gradually becoming the focus in academia.We mainly use the numerical simulation method to take quantitative research. Based on discrete idea, the pending research aquifer will be divided into several small zones to solve mathematical model. After that, It is possible to forecast and analysis groundwater level. For the situation of that a lot of data would be produced with the process of using the methodology of Numerical Simulation, visual numerical simulation software is generated as a simulation platform.In this paper, many difficult problems for groundwater numerical simulations are intensively studied. It describes the design and implementation of a system for groundwater flow numerical simulation, which is based on windows platform. This system, bases on user-machine interface, is professional visualization software for groundwater flow model. It offers an effective simulative platform for researchers. It creates appropriate mathematical model and shows the real movement of groundwater flow by numerical simulation algorithm. This study achieves to make this type domestic software visibility.The main results are summarized as follows:(1) in this article, we have introduced the current situation and research direction of groundwater simulation software in global. The modules of this software, process of numerical modeling and key technology are also described.(2) This paper elaborates on the elements of mathematical model and numerical method in heterogeneous confined aquifer. It achieved a forward modeling algorithm of heterogeneous confined aquifers----alternating direction implicit method.(3) Based on the traditional Simulated anneal algorithm, an improved Simulated anneal genetic algorithm is proposed. The new algorithm assimilates the advantage of genetic algorithm for the capability of global searching and best individual protection. It avoids the early and strengthens property of local searching. Taking 2D unsteady state flows in anisotropy confined aquifer for example, it estimates the parameters of groundwater flow model. The result indicates that the new algorithm does not only avoid the disadvantage of low convergence rate and excessive iterations, but also keeps the advantages of High precision and parallelism.
