Academic management is the core of university management, the degree of information has direct relationship with the university's teaching quality and management efficiency. The college educational administration information platform is built with the modern educational thought, the information management theories and methods, and taken the modern information technology as the core. It involves all aspects of educational administration, such as the collection, analysis, processing, storage, transmission and feedback of educational management information.The online course selection system is not only an important part of the college educational administration information platform, but also the basic work of college credit system reform. The problem of low speed in the process of course selection is a common phenomenon in the colleges which use academic management through the survey, but as as a college academic management, propose effective solutions to the congestion problems in online course selection is urgent.In this paper, the online course selection system is taken as example for study. First, by consulting relevant literature, the author compiled the relevant basic theoretical knowledge about clusters and load balancing, then gave the design goals and main design thought to optimize the course selection system based on the actual hardware and software situation of the college. After that, the author gave out the optimal design program of the course selection system, then optimized the course selection system from the four following aspects:database performance optimization, Web application optimization, Web server optimization and design of load balancing scheduling algorithm.In database performance optimization, this paper made optimization design to the associated hardware system of SQL Server and the database access layer based on the definite optimization objective and thinking of database. The author discussed the optimization design to the database access layer in detail, the optimization strategy used including the JDBC programming optimization, optimization technology to database connection pool and database query optimization. The Web application optimization mainly include the optimization to the presentation layer, the controller layer and business logic layer, the focus was on the business logic layer optimization which used the theory with practice and gave the specific process optimization design diagram of the course selection module. The optimization and tuning to the Web server performance included the software, hardware and network aspects mainly, and used the virtualization technology. The author designed a kind of load balancing scheduling algorithm based on dynamic feedback according to the course selection system actual situation, gave the main realization process and the flow chart of the main module of the algorithm, provided experimental data comparison diagram and experimental result through simulation experiment to erify the feasibility and effectiveness of load balance scheduling algorithm.
