Intelligent process decision-making technology is based on the traditional CAPP, combined with artificial intelligence technology, and used to aide process designer to make process decisions and enhance efficiency and accuracy of process decision-making. The object which decision-making oriented is parts process information, including size, precision and management etc. Feature is a tool for the expression of manufacturing information, including design and manufacturing feature, and design feature is the basic information element of CAD modeling softwares, such as Pro/E. Feature extraction technology, which is developed on the base of feature, is able to directly extract information from CAD system through definition of manufacturing feature and recognization and reflection from design to manufacturing feature.This paper proposes manufacturing feature extraction and intelligent process decision-making technology and realization methods based on analysis of present feature extraction and decision-making technologies. Firstly, the main contents of decision-making and system key technology are analyzed, and the system frame is established. Secondly, Pro/E manufacturing feature by C++ gets expressed after analying Pro/E model feature. Manufacturing feature extraction is achieved through transformation between design and manufacturing feature by Pro/E secondary development. The reverse reasoning is analyzed based on rules and uncertainties reasoning on trust, the intelligent decision-making technology is established based on combination of uncertainty and reverse reasoning method, finally process route and process design get achieved. Process knowledge base is established on SQL relation database management system and representation and storage of process knowledge is achieved which uses relational data model and production rule representation. In the realization of system, secondary development of Pro/E using VS2005 and Pro/Toolkit with C++ programme gets achieved, and then function parts using VS2008 and SQL Server 2005 with C# programme is developed. Finally, the target of aiding process planner for process decision-making and unified management and net sharing of related knowledge and information in process designing get achieved.
