As a communication infrastructure for wireless data transmission, the wireless multi-hop network is used to achieve data processing and transmission between the sending end and the receiving end. The easy-to-build characteristics of the wireless multi-hop network and its low cost of hardware make it widely used in military, medical and some other fields. On the other hand, the node in the wireless network has to balance the impact from different nets during the data's transferring due to the energy or storage constraints, and thus to extend the cycle of the wireless network and make a optimization. In this thesis, this paper will progressively detail the optimization of mechanisms based on using game theory for wireless multi-hop network step by step. Firstly, this paper will introduce definitions, characteristics and challenges in wireless multi-hop networks, as well as the basic knowledge of game theory. The game theory-based network optimization solutions for efficiency, stability and other advantages will be stated by discussing the typical mechanism which combines both the game theory and wireless multi-hop networks. Secondly, a scheme that can combines with the reputation and pricing mechanisms will be presented to guarantee the link layer's safety and effectiveness in network during the data transmitting. Analyzing and derivating the utility of the nodes with game theory, it will be proved that the scheme is able to get the network performance effectively improved and the data link more reliable. Then, a further analysis of the bargaining mechanism based on game theory, combining with the cross-layer design idea, will be conducted to build a network infrastructure that supports information sharing between the physical layer and link layer. Network throughput and the nodes' utility will be improved by analyzing the bargaining game and proposing a multi-constrained optimization scheme. Although wireless multi-hop will be more flexible because of the application of cross-layer, the information sharing also results in some security issues such as selfish or malicious nodes. Therefore, Bayesian game theory will be applied to construct information space, which is formed in the process of integrating information, and the sharing information between physical layer and link layer will build monitoring mechanism based on mutual cooperation and effective control of selfish or malicious modes in the network will be achieved.
