The Decision Tree Analysis, Military Training Achievements

With the development of database technology as well as the widespread application of database management system, our capabilities of both generating and collecting data have been increasing rapidly. In addition, popular use of the World Wide Web as a global information system has flooded us with a tremen-dous amount of data and information. This explosive growth in stored or transient data has generated an urgent need for new techniques and automated tools that can intelli-gently assist us in transforming the vast amounts of data into useful information and knowledge.the Data Mining technology is brought forward.Data mining,also popularly referred to as knowledge discovery from data(KDD), is the automated or convenient extraction of patterns representing knowledge implicitly stored or captured in large databases, data warehouses, the Web, other massive information repositories, or data streams. Data mining is a multidisciplinary field, drawing work from areas including database technology, machine learning, statistics, pattern recognition, information retrieval,neural networks, knowledge-based systems, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and data visualization. The Data Mining had been applied and studied in these years,and it has been applied in many domains successfully,such as business,finance and medical treatment.However, little is applied in military training.In modern high-tech conditions,because battle effectiveness quickly generate increasingly pressure,the operations functions,status and role of information has greatly enhanced.The information has been the key as a whole battle the most important tremendous resources and power.If drillmaster only rely on their own expertise and experience,it is difficult quickly and accurately access the effects of training from the current number of training information,and the ultimate direct impact on combat effectiveness.There was a large amount of valuable information hiding behind these data.The drillmaster hope to analyze these data in a higher level and obtain the latent information to instruct military training.At present,most of drillmaster are unfamiliar to the use of information platform and can not classify and assessment to the complex test and training results.By Decision Tree technology classify and assessment of the military training results,the abundance and miscellaneous test data input database,comprehensive analysis and evaluation,extract key data and decision support hidden predictive information to enhance performance and improve the grades of training and soldiers fighting forces.The Decision Tree technology, which is the main technology of the Data Mining classification and forecast, is the classifying rule that infers the Decision Tree manifestation through group of out-of-orders, the non-rule examples. The Decision Tree exceeds the others in the feature of well understanding, well training and achievable. Therefore, the Decision Tree technology was used in research of military training grades analysis.This dissertation has finished the following works:1. This paper introduces the related techonology and theoretic basis of data mining. Based on the introduction of elementary concept of Data Mining, the objection and findable mode are classified and concluded detailedly, In addition, some regular Data Mining technology and Data Mining process are detailed introduced.2. The technology of Decision Tree is discussed detailedly. In the third chapter, the concrete steps of excavating data are analyzed. And the main algorithm and basic ideas of Decision Tree are discussed and concluded detailedly. In addition, the difference between each arithmetic has been compared objectively.3. The shortcomings of the present military training grades analysis are pointed out. In view of the importance and function of the military training grades analysis, the vital significance of applying the Data Mining in the analysis is proposed.4. The entire procedure of the Decision Tree technology excavating the military training grades analysis has been completely introduced. The fifth chapter is the core of this thesis. Use the military training grades table and such other ways to collect and pretreat data; The C4.5 algorithm was used to generate the model of Decision Tree in physical force and the model of Decision Tree in technical ability, and consequently the classification rule was obtained.
